My interpretation of this quote:
I agree with this statement. If you survived a disaster, you would want others to know about the innocent people that died and what happened so they can prevent it from happening again. If you choose to ignore it, then you betray them and it might happen to you. <----this reminds me of our study of the Middle East and karma.
Images that came to mind when I read this quote:
I thought of books (history, mainly) because Elie Wiesel says that she needs to tell the STORY.
This stack of money came to mind when I read, "I OWED something to the dead." I thought of that because at some point in you life somebody owes you money or you owe money to someone else.
