Reflection:
I am not surprised at how many people said that they have seen or have been bullied this school year. I did not vote on my own poll, but I agree that I have seen people bullied this year. I agree with all of the responses about what bystanders do. I have been a bystander; I have walked away when I should have done something. However, there are times that I have tried stick up for someone. Everyone who were polled said that there is a problem of bullying at our school. Some people who were polled may not have gone to our school, but bullying is a problem at ALL schools. These are bystander's actions; no one does anything to help stop it. We need more students at all schools to help stop bullying and prevent it from happening.
Quick-Write :
"I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do." -Edmund Everett Hale
This applies GREATLY to the problem of bullying at school. Like I said, students need to take action, and this quote explains it. It's very precise. One student can influence THOUSANDS of other students to prevent bullying. Don't hesitate; help stop bullying. :)
